OvaryActing, Stigma-breaking Period Stories

There’s never been a better time to shout about periods.

This Period Poverty Awareness Week, we’re doing things a little differently. On May 14th from 5 pm to 7 pm, we’re hosting OvaryActing: an evening of menstruation stories from your community. We invited some of our partners, supporters, and friends to tell stories about their periods, ranging from empowering to unpleasant, from funny to not-so-funny. Tickets are $20; snacks and non-alcoholic drinks will be provided!

We’ll talk more about Period Poverty Awareness Week when it rolls around, but we’re really excited for this event and we would love to see you there. If you aren’t able to attend, consider making a donation to support ending period poverty! If you want to show your support in a different way, we are also in need of volunteers to help direct traffic, check tickets at the door, and put out fires–not literally. You’ll get free admission to the event!

Psst… we’re also doing our first ever merch drop during OvaryActing. Don’t delay buying your tickets if you want early access to some fresh apparel.

In case you missed it:

  • There are opportunities to volunteer at Care Collective every month! These slots fill up fast, so join our volunteer mailing list to get notified as soon as events get posted.
