There Are Many Ways to Help

Care Collective relies on support from our volunteers. At our warehouse, volunteers open, count, repackage, and organize products for delivery to community partners. Whether you’re one person volunteering for one hour or a group of ten for the whole day, your support makes a difference.

Your volunteer support allows us to distribute more diapers and period products to young people and their caregivers.

Accessibility Information

The Care Collective warehouse has ramp access for wheelchair users, though the bathroom door is too narrow to accommodate some wheelchairs. Volunteers at repackaging events can have a meaningful role without needing to move around the room, and most jobs can be done from a seated position.

In repackaging, there are responsibilities that can be performed with limited vision and hearing. The space around the repackaging tables is flat and easy to traverse. There are roles in repackaging that do not require reading, writing, or math.

Repackaging can be a quiet, low-light activity, especially upon request. If you worry that our volunteer events are not made with you in mind, please reach out so we can make you feel welcome.
